THE project

Astronomy for Hobbyists is a fully designed editorial book project created within a structured set of constraints. The theme, color palette, typography, and subject matter were all pre-assigned, with a focus on a masculine aesthetic. Within these parameters, I designed the complete layout of the book, developing a cohesive visual system that balances readability with strong, engaging composition. Each spread was carefully crafted to guide the reader through complex astronomical concepts while maintaining visual interest. The project was carried through to final production, including printing and hand-binding the book, resulting in a fully realized physical piece that demonstrates both conceptual design thinking and attention to detail in execution.
